World Puja Network 1.1.11 World Meditation and Planetary Transmission

In case you haven’t noticed, the world is changing. For some of us, it is changing in not-so-nice ways. For others of us, it is changing in positive ways. Still others of us are just enjoying observing it. I find myself being in all three at different times. Then I will catch myself, get grounded and go back to observing.

One thing I want for 2011 is to take my place among those who are working to bring more light to Mother Earth as we all move forward into transformation. So when I heard about this World Puja Event, I signed up right away.

World Puja Network is, to quote their website, “THE WORLD PUJA NETWORK, LLC is a Global Internet Broadcasting Network with daily listeners in 139 countries. We are in our 10th year of international broadcasting. More than 700,000 have made their way to The World Puja Network.” And their mission is, “To inspire and empower humanity to instigate change and catapult an upgraded shift in global consciousness.”

The call will feature six individuals who will be leading meditations and activations designed to create an energy field that will usher in a higher level of consciousness for the new year. The six people are Maureen Moss, World Puja Network President, Spiritual Master Panache Desai, Jo Dunning of The Abundance Project, American Buddha Stuart Mooney, Jacqueline Joy, the Diamond Alignment Transmitter and Global Sound Healer Barry Goldstein. The call is free and will go from 9AM to 11AM Pacific Time (12PM to 2PM Eastern).

If you feel led to participate, just click here to find out more and to sign up.

In the meantime, I wish you all the best for this Holy-Day Season and for 2011!

Lost Baggage II

In Lost Baggage Part I, I wrote about how many of us have negative and limiting beliefs running in the background that prevent us from moving forward. This old baggage often rears its ugly head in the form of self-sabotaging behaviors, fears, relationship difficulties and even in circumstances that we may feel have nothing to do with us at all! Now, make no mistake; as long as we’re here in these bodies, we will experience contrast. Contrast is simply the experience of wanting one thing and having something different than what we want show up. Part of the reason that this happens is that we live in a world where all of us have the freedom to make choices. Some of us make choices based on fear and some of us make choices based on love.

Let’s say that you are going along in your day and everything is going more or less okay. You stop into the grocery store for a few items and the clerk is surly with you. You have a choice. You can be surly right back or you can choose to bless that person in your own way and go on. The contrasting event was the surly clerk. You had a choice to make as to how to respond.

However, if we are operating with a lot of old baggage in our system, we can get triggered by this encounter with the surly clerk and before we know it, we can be responding in a negative way right back. When we think about it later, we may be taken aback by the way we reacted and wonder what happened. This is your cue that old baggage is in the background.

There are many wonderful tools to deal with these individual situations and also general tools that can help us gradually shift the energy of the wounds we carry. Meditation, EFT and positive affirmations are all useful tools when we recognize the old baggage. But how do we deal with those limiting beliefs that have not yet surfaced or that still have a hold on us? Since those beliefs are held in the part of our minds that operate beyond the reach of our immediate conscious level, you can see why they can be so persistent and tricky to deal with.

I am very excited to be attending a Retreat next month with Bruce Lipton and Rob Williams. Bruce Lipton, as you may be aware, is the author of The Biology of Belief: Unleashing the Power of Consciousness, Matter, & Miracles“> and Spontaneous Evolution: Our Positive Future (and a Way to Get There from Here). What these two teachers will be speaking to deals with how our beliefs affect our physiology and our psychology and, perhaps more importantly, how to recognize beliefs we’re not yet aware of and let go of those that no longer serve us.

One thing is certain, as long as we are dealing with contrast and conflict, we will be challenged to deal with our belief systems as we attempt to come to terms with that contrast and conflict. It makes sense to learn how to go to the root of how we deal with the challenges of life and to take personal responsibility. When people decide to let go of being victims of circumstance and to recognize the role they play in creating their experience of reality, then answers start to come. I believe that the information that Bruce Lipton and Rob Williams have to share is part of the answers that are coming as humanity faces monumental challenges.

There is no panacea for the challenges we face as individuals or as a society or as a global community, but there are tools we can use to let go of the old baggage or even to wish a fond farewell to the lost baggage in our lives. I believe that teachers such as Rob Williams and Bruce Lipton are heralds of a new wave of science and spirituality that is assisting people to approach change in new and practical ways. I am looking forward to experiencing that wave.

If you are interested in learning more about the Retreat, you can go here. And if you would like to get a discounted tuition rate, contact me directly (using the request form on this site) before October 17. I would love to see you in San Fransisco in November!

Lost Baggage

Ever had your baggage lost on a flight somewhere? I have. All things considered, it worked out okay. Fortunately, the bag that was lost didn’t have my most important items (clothes) or anything exceedingly valuable, and it was eventually returned to me — a little banged up, but with all my belongings inside and intact.

Ever had any baggage that you actually want to lose? I definitely have that, too. You know the kind of baggage I mean: old hurts, limiting beliefs that rear their ugly heads at the most inopportune times or, even worse, just operate imperceptibly in the background, robbing our lives of the joy, freedom, and unlimited potential they have.

You’ve probably heard that we only use about 10% of our brainpower. (Actually, I think that’s probably a very generous estimate.) This is likely because a lot of our thoughts are actually happening at a subconscious level. They’re happening just out of reach of our conscious minds. Our minds are kind of like icebergs, of which only about 10% are visible above the surface of the water and the remaining 90% are below the water.

But what if we could access more of our minds and get rid of the old baggage that no longer serves us? If we could only lose that old baggage and get some new, beautiful, positive baggage, what would be possible for us?

I’d like to invite you to think about that today (with the conscious part of your mind) and to imagine how your life would flow if you had access to all the old baggage that you don’t even know could be running your life.

Part II will offer some information that might be of interest to you if you want to let go of the old baggage and welcome the new!
